Smart Ideas is a fresh new patient education magazine focused on primary care. Each issue contains articles covering heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and allergies or asthma, as these are all chronic conditions treated in primary care. It also contains other topics of current or seasonal importance.

Smart Ideas is distributed to patients by nurse practitioners (NPs) who are members of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the largest professional service organization serving NPs of all specialties. Because it is distributed as an exclusive benefit to AANP members, online copies of all issues are not made available. However, you can view the premiere issue, the cover of which is shown on the right (PDF).
